Building Bridges Grant
Congratulations are in order
Columbine FSC sent a grant proposal to US Figure Skating in September of 2017. On January 6, 2018, US Figure Skating announced that we won the "Building Bridges" grant award from The Prudential in the amount of $15K. These funds will go towards a proposed program to introduce figure skating to the deaf and hearing impaired community. This 7-8 week specialized learn-to-skate program will cater to the needs of skaters from this community and will culminate by incorporating their newly acquired skills into the Spring Ice Show. Columbine will be working with the Rocky Mountain Deaf School and EarCommunity.org, as well as other local non-profit organizations, and the Apex Team. We will tap into our club resources, like our Junior Board and interested volunteers as well. We are very proud and excited to be on this journey. |
Columbine FSC Test Session May 11th, 2018
"The next Test Session for the Columbine Figure Skating Club will be held Friday, May 11th, 2018, from 7am until 11am at the Apex Ice Arena. All skaters are welcome. Registration will remain open until the test session is full. The test session is subject to close earlier than the listed deadline based on availability. Ugly Sweater Skate and Holiday Party
All Columbine Families are invited to join us in a celebration of the holidays. We will be having a chili themed pot-luck and hot chocolate. Join us for a pot-luck starting at 5:30pm. There will be skating from 5:45-6:45pm and plenty of time to enjoy the company of our fellow skaters. We will decorate cookies together and play some fun holiday games. Bring the whole family, dressed in their holiday best (or worst) for a fun evening of skating and comraderie. |
